Filament Splicer

This is a modified filament splicer by DR2D on Thingverse. Having done fiber optic splicing in the past the biggest issue I have with melding is squared ends. This modification adds the ability to square each filament end prior to joining. While DR2D uses a 75 degree cut, by doing the flat ends once joined you can do a slight pull and keep the PLA in round. His design instructions can be found at the link below.

This does add the razorblade cutting so do be careful. Any contributions please send to DR2D as it was their base design which inspired.
