I wanted a spool holder that I liked and worked without fuss.
I designed this in Fusion 360 (Cad file included so you can change it without problems of editing STLs).
The Step files are for those who don't work with Fusion.
The GCODE file is one set ready to be printed.
I use 8mm threaded rod left over my my RepRap days, but works with up to 1/4" rods.
You can stack a bunch of them on a single rod as I have (2), or each one individually.
It gets harder to mount and unmount as the stack grows.
I used Skate bearings but took them out as they made no difference in functionality.
Simple is best!
I printed at 0.2mm but I would print them at 0.3mm per layer if I had to do it all over again.
The Gcode is for 0.2mm using a 0.4mm nozzle. I included the Gcode for people that don't have the ability to make their own for some reason.
Have fun.
