I've replaced my iPrussa clone with a FlashForge Dreamer NX, which I'm very impressed with. Things have improved greatly in the 3D print world since I built my clone.
The only downside of the Dreamer is the small build platform, but it's still possible to build whatever I've wanted and the finished object is close to perfect every time.
Anyway, I needed a new spool holder, as I didn't want to limit myself to the small, proprietary, internal filament spools... so I designed this. :)
It's no taller than it needs to be, to keep the Centre of Gravity low so the spool is stable with no tendency to topple.
The spool cones are sized to cope with the various spool holes I've come across - 50mm to 75mm diameter.
You'll need to print two spool cones and two side supports to form the complete spool stand.
You'll also need a couple of skate bearings (22mmx7mm) with an 8mm hole to complete this project. These are easily found on eBay and are very cheap.
Finally you'll need an 8
