I wanted to create a wall mount for my various spools of filament. I've seen various bracket-and-stick approaches, but they always have the disadvantage of needing to remove the whole spool set just to get the one (inevitably) in the middle.
To solve this I created a print bracket which allows standard 20cm reels to be 'stacked' on a wall using a bracket at each end of the spool. The brackets have two slots, allowing additional brackets to be placed at appropriate intervals allowing many spools to be supported. The distance between the brackets is determined by the width of the spool you want to mount.
The disadvantage over the bracket-and-stick approach is that many different widths of spools are difficult to support since the brackets are fixed to the wall at specific separations. For me, I use only a couple of specific filament suppliers, so all my spools are the same width. Your milage may vary.
