Filament Welder

To weld filaments, I tried some tools. However, the success rate was not so good.
So, I made this filament welder from the surplus 3D printer parts.

After welding, all filaments must be removed through the hotend.
I just thought about welding the rest of the filament to the new one.

The final shape is depending on the inner diameter of PTFE Tube.
You may need to thin it.

I used
(1) E3D V6 Extruder with Bore 4.1mm Throat and 3010 Fan.
(2) PTFE Tube (OD4mm ID1.95mm L80mm, Capricorn tube) I will buy 1.9mm tube.
(update 2021/4/11: I tried 1.9mm tube, https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001370675514.html, and works better)
(3) MKS GENL with TFT32
(4) 12V power supply. I used 40W heater. So, 4A or 5A should be enough.

To build this filament welder, I used
(1) M3x10 bolt, 3pcs.
(2) M3 insert nut, 3pcs.

I tested only PETG filament. The temperature of 200C was good.
