Scan your 35mm film with this attachment on your macro lens. This assembly is entirely 3D printed and screws directly on to a 58mm front macro lens. You'll need a macro lens with a 1:1 ratio. The film window features a two-layer diffuser that is ironed in the printing process. This allows you to use the scanner with any strong backlight, or a sunny sky, as I did with the sample scans. Please note that this is a rudimentary scanner with film advancement performed by hand. This item might scratch your negatives. The Film Holder Assembly is printed in two parts, with pegs to join them together. With my printer, the pegs fit over 50% of the time, but I have also had to take a 1/16" drill bit to the holes for the pegs to fit. You can optionally secure the two halves of the assembly together with Loctite or similar glue.
