Nothing like hurting yourself and needing a finger splint, only to find that commercial finger splints kinda suck.

This finger splint was created for splinting the first knuckle, allowing for improved comfort and dexterity while your finger heals. The multiple configurations were apart of the evolution while developing. Each version has pro's and con's. My goal was to allow improved typing ability and touch screen use while wearing it. The openings on end provide clearance to your finger nail, and the shape of it is not a perfect, but attempts to follow the natural taper and shape of a finger.

Realizing that everyone is different, I included the original Solid Works files, so that (provided you have Solidworks) you can customize the fit specifically to yourself.

Printing in ABS, has proven to be a very comfortable material to wear.

Version 3b - Is my personal favorite, as it provides a depression to assist holding a pencil/pen in place while writing.

Enjoy.
