fireball keg

My son had an empty Fireball Keg. Yes, there is such a thing. It holds 5.3 Gals. He wanted to make it into a trash can for his bar. The first thing was how to cut out the top. (By the way its steel, although thin) I took an old jackknife put it at a right angle. (You can see it in one picture). I held it agents the side with the tip touching the top, and hit it with a soft hammer. it will go thru the thin steel. I kept moving it about 1/4" until the top was loose. Avoid sharp edges. I then put it on my lap and hit the edges until they were agents the side. (Note) If you use a hard hammer you will get bumps on the outside where you can see it. I printed the top ring in two haves because it was to big for my ender 3 pro. If you have a bigger printer you could print it as one piece. When you push it in it covers the sharp places. I then printed the three plugs, glued together. He's very happy with and has bought a new one, so I'll be making another one later. .
