🛠️ Project Title: Compact CNC Machine with GRBL and Arduino Nano
Description: This is my first CNC project published on Thingiverse. The machine is controlled by a GRBL shield mounted on an Arduino Nano. The Y-axis is driven by a single stepper motor, with the belt mirrored to the opposite side for synchronized motion.
Required Components:
- GRBL shield (compatible with Arduino Nano)
- Arduino Nano
- DRV8825 stepper drivers
- 1 stepper motor for Y-axis
- GT2 timing belt + pulleys
- Guide rods (e.g. 8mm)
- Endstop brackets (included STL)
- M3/M4 bolts and nuts
- Power supply (12V, 8A recommended)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Frame Setup:
- Mount the guide rods horizontally for the X and Y axes.
- Attach the endstop brackets to both ends of each rod to secure them.
- Belt Installation:
- Install the GT2 belt on the Y-axis motor pulley.
- Mirror the belt to the opposite side using idler pulleys or a tensioning system.
- Use the endstop brackets to hold the belt tight and prevent slippa
