Fishing Crate Lid Hook

This is a hook i made for my fishing crate for my kayak, It is designed to hold the lid or lids closed on the crate, or crates with elastic shock cord. Its simple and does the trick.


To use all you need to do is:

1. Make a holes or find a place to anchor your shock cord. How you anchor it is up to you I simply used the existing hardware i had on the crate for the kayaks bungie to hook into.

2. Feed the shock cord through one of the holes on the side of the hook that faces the crate.

3. Take said shock cord go across the back of the hook and put it through the other hole in the hook.

4. Anchor your shock cord to your other decided point and tension to what you'd like.

5. There ya go youre done!

The reason you go under the hook and then across the back is because i found this tilts the tab out slightly making it much easier to grasp in order to take it off.
