We've all seen toilet paper cardboard tubes pushed onto a drill chuck and used to despool fishing line. Works… OK. That chuck is tapered, and we only get a little contact between the tube and the chuck. It breaks free, it spins at a crazy angle. I made this solve those problems. This print fits a ¼" bit - it works in my drill and my impact driver. The long surface area holds the cardboard tube evenly and firmly with a light friction fit. There is a small notch in the bottom. Run your line through that, and then push the cardboard tube over the top of it. That holds the line firmly so when you spin the drill, the line is pulled from your reel. Once done you can dispose of in whatever way is appropriate for your area.I sized this for our Cottenelle brand cardboard tubes. I have no idea if the industry has standardized. If you want a different size, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
