Update: Parts were interfering between trays on my last submission, and this new proposed design has corrected this issue. This tray design fits 25 components per level, and contains 200 parts with 8 nested trays. A big thank you to Tommy Mueller for simplifying the provided part. Tray Features: - Dense packing solution, with dimensions 470mm x 470mm x 453.5mm (LxWxH). This allows for denser palletizing, and ultimately reduces transportation costs. - Manufacturability; Simple design allows for basic tooling without slides/cams. Molten plastic can also flow easily because of fewer level variations, thereby eliminating defects from uneven cooling (knits, unfilled areas, etc.). - Alignment features ensure proper stacking, and alignment indicators on one corner ensure proper orientation every time. - The tray is heavily ribbed on the bottom, giving high strength to weight ratio. - Pins easily align product and 1 expandable pin keeps product in place. Tray can be easily populated by hand or automated. - Shrouds protect product from external interference.
