flange coupling

A coupling is mechanical device used to couple two shaft for transmission of power from driving shaft to other driven shaft. For rotational motion transfer alignment and torsion are main considerations. flange coupling is a type of Coupling used between rotating shafts that consists of flanges one of which is fixed at the end of each shaft, the two flanges being bolted together with abolts fitted circumferentialy to complete the drive.Flange coupling can only be used when both shaft are perfectly aligned in static or dynamic condition .
