Flapping Mechanical Skarmory

Skarmory #227:"After nesting in bramble bushes, the wings of its chicks grow hard from scratches by thorns." ~Silver Version Pokedex Entry Skarmory is the first in a new series I'm excited to bring to MakerWorld: Mechanical Flapping Pokemon! This Skarmory flaps its 320 mm (12.6 in.) wingspan when the tab on the back is pushed down, thanks to an internal gear system similar to the one in my other mechanical models. The assembly doesn't require a spring to function but one can be added to return the wings to a resting position quicker. The model has a few other points of articulation including a moveable tail, neck, legs, and feathers. Parts were separated to improve printability and reduce purge waste. Assembly is pretty simple and instructions are attached below. I used Bambu Lab Silver Silk PLA and it gave the model a nice shiny finish. Happy Printing!
