Flexible snap tabs

This model features a connection and disconnection system designed for fluid handling applications, with a focus on efficiency and safety. The most important aspect of this design is the use of flexible tabs that, when pressure is applied, ensure a firm and secure fixation. The mechanism also includes springs that retract upon contact with perforated seals, allowing for controlled fluid flow without leaks. Inspired by quick couplings and spring-loaded valves, this system ensures reliable integration in applications requiring high sealing integrity. The model was developed in the context of the course M25 - Synthesis of Mechanisms and Machines 2024 c2 by María Paz Cresta.
