Seeing that winter is now upon us here, and I have yet to maiden my FT Bronco, I decided to make floats for it to ride the snow instead of belly landing.
I built the 21" floats from this link --> (https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2633026-Easy-Build-V-Hull-Foamboard-Floats)
and needed some way to mount them under the twin fuselages. Thus, this project was created. I am printing as I type, and will plan on having one pair normal print and one pair mirror printed. Total weight of all four sets looks to come in about 16 grams.
The clamps attach around the wire gear using M3x8 machine screws. They screw in nicely and do not require a tap.
The clamps need supports, the bases need flipped upside down and should use supports as well (they would print without supports as uploaded, but I don't think they'd adhere to the bed at all...) and the main mounts don't need support. I printed them with 2 walls and 10% infill to try to keep the weight down.
