Float Switch Standoff 1.25 Inch

I needed a standoff to insert a float switch into my Reef Octopus 200-INT skimmer. This allows for clearance from the lid so that once the skimmmate reaches just below the max level, the skimmer shuts off using my controller and I get an alert. There is a pre-threaded design and a non-threaded design that can be tapped on both sides (M8-1.25).

Installation instructions:

-Drill appropriately sized hole. I had to drill an offset hole from one of the air vents to clear the side of the skimmer cup.

-Remove nut and washer from float switch

-Thread cable through center

-Thread on standoff (male float thread to female standoff threads). Place the washer on the standoff male threads.

-Insert float switch cable and standoff into skimmer top and lock in place with nut. Do not overtighten!
