This is a different take of the [Impossible Table](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3970291)
I was inspired by the original design, and wanted to apply the same principles to something more than a clever concept. While less impressive visually, compared to the original "light" approach, my design has:
- easier print: each of the two platforms prints in one piece, no need for glue, without sacrificing structural integrity
- easier assembly: the slots help to position the threads
- more load capacity: the supports' shape works almost exclusively on compression, and the tension component is on the threads (I've used 0.7 mm fishing line, rated for 50 lbs/22 Kgs)
There's a simpler design, that has a wobbly behaviour (that I quite like, as it enhances the "floating" concept), and a more stable one, with slots for additional peripheral threads to keep the platform in position.
