The Floating glass
I Recently saw this strange looking glass:
https://www.thebeachglass.com
and I saw people wondering if the 3D model exists, if it's food-safe, if it floats and if it's available in different shapes and volumes.
Yes, the 3D model does exist, it floats thanks to nuts thats you can screw on the glass, and yes it's available in different shapes.
TWO sizes:
• 155 mL, suitable for Wine
• 245 mL, suitable for Soda or Beer.
Disclaimer:
I'm using Metric units, so it's an ISO M8 thread. It's not considered food safe to drink in PLA, PETG, ABS coming from a 3D printer. Though, as long as you clean your glass, there is no worries drinking into it. The Wine is way more dangerous that the glass itself. (dishwasher is not recommended). You can add a resin coating to your glass to protect it.The main problem you might encounter is a leaking glass, but it depends on your printing technique.
