On my quest to live sustainable I realised that I don't want to miss out my hot shower in the morning. So I built this flow restrictor that fits into the screw connector part of my shower.
The upper outer diameter is 10mm and the lower outer diameter is kind of 7mm.
I only found flat inlets here on thingiverse so I thought I could design something that doesn't render the black rubber seal useless.
- It has a perfect fit: You can press it in by hand and remove it still with your leatherman
- The hole is quite small with 2mm. So I suggest to use a 2-4mm drill to adjust the hole to your need. Or you can use the 3D Builder from Microsoft to subtract a cylinder shape from my part. My favorite setting was achieved with a 2mm drill.
- The part should be built with support. The standard support by slic3r did the job
- Since it is a very small part it is a good idea to apply active cooling while printing
- Being a Thingiverse thing I had to put the T on it
