You might have seen flying butterfly models, but what about dragon flies? I traced a dragonfly's wings to trully harness the power of it's wings allowing this to fly faster than a butterfly much like it would in real life! Use the touch of heat from a lighter to twist only the top wings into a propeller shape with the left and right being opposite angles. Then, attach a small rubberband to the hooks and wind the wings but be careful not to create so much tension that will snap the hook, make sure to try winding the wings the other way in case it flies even better.
