Flying Dwarf Scout

In the Dwarven capital there are rumors of dwarves that fly through the air as effortlessly as birds. The mountaintop has been void of trees since the construction of the sprawling city, but if one travels to the military district and makes their way through the heavy gates barring entrance to the commoners you will see countless trees in a hidden arboretum. Unbeknownst to the capital dwellers, the king trains his flying soldiers to zip from tree to tree using a gas propelled grapple hook system built into their packs.
"What use do the dwarves have of jumping from tree to tree in the mountains where there are no trees?" You may ask.
The answer lies not in the rocky dwarven territories but in their warring neighbors. Too hellbent on each other's destruction to realize the growing threat high in the mountains.
