This model is based on a French wooden one that I bought years ago. But it had gathered dust and grime and I realised that now I could convert it into a 3D printed version. I've made it even simpler and changed lots of features that are no longer necessary from the wooden state.
It's simple to print and does not require any support or brims. Some rotation may be necessary when aligning parts flat on the print bed. There should not be any need for gluing – even the straps, which are 3D printed, are held into the slotted lugs on ring 13.
I decided to print all the body rings individually so that different colour options could be used. They stack loosely built on the column of ring 1 and are locked by press fitting the head (neck).
