StoryThe Flying Scotsman, introduced in 1923, is one of the world’s most famous trains. Built by the London and North Eastern Railway, it was the first locomotive to reach 100 mph in 1934. Originally running between London and Edinburgh, it became known for its speed and luxury. After being retired in 1963, it was restored and now operates as a heritage train, still a cultural icon today.
