This is a remix of the original height extension that uses 100% of the height of z-axis shafts. It is designed to be used with Lime Head and other tall printheads that "normally" reduce the print height by 10mm. There will only be 2mm of clearance between the linear bearing and the shaft support on the top and the bottom.
!!! IMPORTANT: requires replacing the leadscrew with a 350mm one. Link attached below, they are reasonably cheap.
The use is very similar to the original.
HOWEVER, the length of the wires of the top frame is NO LONGER SUFFICIENT to work with this height extension, so you will have to extend them. This requires soldering experience and spare wires. Seriously, the printer becomes almost 10cm taller, what did you expect?
The X-axis motor wire has plenty of spare length, and it ends up being the only part of the cable that doesn't need extension.
The bottom supports of the Z-axis shafts will need to be moved out of the bottom slab of the printer and will ne
