FOLDABLE SUP

CONCEPT: The design of this SUP is concentrated on an economical use of material and small amount of different body parts. Thanks to the joint system the SUP can be easily transformed from the rectangular shape into a SUP shape just by folding the parts and fixing them in the new position. COMPOSITION: The SUP is made of four different parts (three symmetric and the middle part. The screws are used for axial 90 degree movement of two body parts and smaller screws for the fixing of the body parts. A small problem is the cutout lines on the surface of the SUP because the folding requires this angular finish. In this case another piece can be inserted into the line to make the surface of the SUP smooth. FURTHER DEVELOPMENT: The work is not completed and I will develop the concept further. The next steps are making it more rational in material consumption and from the esthetic point of view. I am still working on the „ideal“ shape of the SUP and fin and on the construction ribs inside the parts to dematerialize it as much as possible. The joints are also very important and I will try to optimize them or even try to find another way to make them more efficient and practical.
