Folding knife with lock mechanism!
Should be an easy print. You will need 1/4” and 1/8” dowel rod, or print cylinders with the same dimensions to put it all together. This knife could also be made with a cnc, wood or metal, would just have to change out spring mechanism with different material. Tolerances may be tight, so light sanding may be necessary.
Update: to keep this project fully printable, there is now an stl for a pin to hold the blade in!
Here are a few pointers to help you make this:
You will need to scale everything up, I’m not sure why the model is so small, but I used cura and had to scale the model up by 2538.67%. So when you are scaling it up, just be sure that the thickness of all parts is 4.76mm or 3/16”.
To put it together you will need to print the pin, I have added it to the files. You need one pin to hold the blade within the handles. For the other two holes you can use 1.75mm filament.
Your best bet will be to superglue the pins and butt piece in
