Forester Cargo Bracket 2025

Wanted to have a shelf behind the rear seats of our 2025 Forester. OEM shelf is $400+ and too low to get a decent sized cooler underneath. Brackets and wood provide the base and still keep the back open. Need to work on brackets to clip on the wood that will hold the shelf in place for road trips but quickly come out when all you need is a couple grocery hooks. Attaches with M6-1.00 x 25mm long socket head bolts. Some plastic trim in front of the bolt hole needs trimmed to allow the larger diameter spacer I incorporated into the bracket for stability. Tray has one pair of mirror image brackets. Wood shown is 2x2 poplar; very straight and good strength but the sharp edges need sanded to fit down into the bracket corners which I fileted.
