I wanted to integrate an indoor fountain with a semi-hydroponic planter setup, but didn't find many options fitting my taste, so I designed this.
For the substrate, just use some regular large expanded clay pebbles, they should be large enough not to fall out the seam.
I used a small water pump I found at a local hardware store, any cheap usb water pump and alike would do. The hole to attach the pump is 13.15 mm in diameter, which fits my pump's outlet perfectly, some tube may be required for other pumps to fit.
To print the fountain, supports are required as the top half is suspended. I found manual snug grid supports inside the seam worked great and were easy to remove.
For my first try I used some untreated stone PLA, but after some time it started delaminating and water got through the layers, starting to split. I now reprinted it in some normal PLA and seems to be holding well. Some treatment to make it actually water resistant may be needed.
