My latest version of the Fractal Vice. I wanted to make it a good one and a few people wanted to have soft jaws on it, so that's what I've done. If there's enough demand for solid small jaws I'll add those as an option as well. If you're in Australia it's easy enough to get the soft rubber strip needed for the jaws, overseas you'll have to have a bit of a search around sorry. Also included is a simple gadget that lets you cut the rubber strip to the right length and nice & squarely. Place the parts in your slicer so that the outer (large) curve has the lip facing upwards, that's so that the smaller lips face downwards and don't need as much support material. The supports on my printed parts broke away cleanly & easily that way. After printing the various rotating parts of the vice jaws, please take a few minutes to carefully file off any elephants foot at the bottom, to make sure they can rotate smoothly & easily. The bolts will make their own threads into each piece, at least they did nicely with my parts. The parts are designed for either a 0.1 mm or 0.2 mm layer height, either will work fine. I used an Aussie 10c piece at the far end of the 8mm threaded screw to act as a stopper, you can use any coin or whatever is less than 23 mm diameter & 2mm thick instead. The 8mm trailer washer (An otherwise normal washer but with a larger outer diameter, but a regular 8mm washer should also be fine) goes between the Stopper Nut and the Stationary End structure. Leave 0.5mm to 1.0 mm gap so there's a no friction created by the Stopper Nut rubbing on the washer, etc. Also included are STP files. Parts list M3 Bolts 10mm x 2 15mm x 7 30mm x 18 65mm x 12 M5 bolts 20mm x 12 45mm x 4 40mm or longer, needs a 25 mm shank Bearings 8x15x4 x 2 (8mm diameter, 15mm OD, 4mm thick) Rods 8mm smooth rod 400mm x 2 8mm threaded rod 450mm (Standard 3D printer threaded rod, also get the brass nut for it) I got mine from - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32872498225.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.dc
