Frame/Scrollsaw project

What is it and what does it do? Your guess is as good as mine. I think it looks better with the round area on the top but it works either direction.Picture frame?Clock?Tea light holder?Comes from a bunch of scroll saw plans I have. The top.stl file has 4 small holes in it which were for attaching the top piece to the base if it were made from wood. The 3mf file has small cylinders and negative parts incorporated to attach the top to the base. Once you press it together, I doubt it's coming back apart without breaking the small pegs off.
