I work at a manufacturing plant building trailer frames, walking platforms, and a bunch of various frames that need to be squared from the corners. To many different sized to build a jig for each frame. So I come up with this. These squares have been in a production setting for over a year now. Printed from PLA they have held up as long as the person welding didn't burn the edges.
How it works: Each square has magnets. you'll need two squares. place a square on the corner of the frame, place the end of the tape measure in the pivot slot then walk to the opposite corner of the frame. The tape will pivot and not fall of the corner of the metal.
Cross measuring, the actual measure doesn't matter as long as both measurements match. But length and width measurements do matter. on each square there is a flat spot on the outside of the square, one has a slot. So that you don't have to remove the square, that flat spot is 1inch. Add 1 inch to your dimension. The slot is 1/2 inch.
