Frankenblender

This is probably more an inspiration to refurbish things than a thing for someone to download and use... The motor of our cheap blender was broken due to overheating, but we happened to have another blender with broken jar but working motor from previous flatmates. So, the idea to create Frankenblender was born... we just designed an adapterplate to fit the motor in the hacksawed old housing and a new housing bottom part that has sufficient ventilation. The new motor only had a knurled nut for injection molding, so I melted that in the plastic part that interlocks with the drive of the jar knife using a soldering iron.
Everything works really well, and you definitely feel the cool air being sucked in by the motor now! Only have to be careful to not pour liquids over the housing
