My Freewing Moray* spinner cracked after one too many crashes and I was not able to source a replacement so I decided to design and print one.
I added some blades to the spinner backplane as I felt that it could do with a bit more cooling.
The result is as shown here. I was initially concerned about balance and strength but I have run it without a prop at maximum revs and it has been fine with no signs of either vibration or any distortion due to the centrifugal force.
I use two servo retaining screws to hold the dome to the backplane.
Please be careful if you print one - the high speeds and high revs make this inherently dangerous and I cannot be held responsible for any injury or damage that may result from making or using one of these spinners.
