Made to fit 3/4" French cleats. Provides 4" of clearance between the top edge of the lower cleat and the bottom of the next.
They fit very snug and don't exactly lift out, so either use it just to pre-drill and remove them before sinking screws or leave the end of your cleat open so you can slide it out.
