Bracket to replace parts FT3, FT26, and optionally the ends of FT17 and FT18 while also allowing room to add some 2028 corner brackets for additional structural rigidity.
Uses standard skateboard bearings (608ZZ).
Can either be used with the bearings and idler pulley that came with the FT5, or cut an 8mm rod to length and upgrade to a pulley with an 8mm bore.
If you use the stock idler stack, you'll need to remove one or both of the spacers. I removed both of the 3mm spacers and replaced them with 1.5mm. You technically could just remove either the top or the bottom one, but it's currently untested this way.
It is a very tight fit if you put the 2028 brackets in first. I recommend putting the Y-idler in place first, then add the 2028 brackets.
Update 11 Apr 2017: I've added 3 new variations of the Y-Idler bracket. Two without the spacing for the 2028 brackets, and one with the spacing for the 2028 brackets plus an additional M5 hole for peace of mind when fully removing
