I thoroughly like the Yaesu FT-817 case that slider235 created (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1956737), and having the dove-tail joints on the outside allows for attaching of equipment easily. I created a slide to hold a Raspberry PI and SignalinkUSB inside the secondary box, but wanted a mount for the GLONASS U-Blox USB GPS dongle to attach to the outside. This has a very solid friction fit, both to the case, and to the USB Dongle. I would recommend printing it vertical with a raft at the bottom.
