This is a combination standoff and fuel sender flow restriction that I designed for use inside a race car fuel cell. One problem with fuel senders in fuel cells is that the data produced can vary greatly as the fuel sloshes in the fuel cell during normal racing conditions. This standoff utilizes two 2mm passages to restrict flow and smooth the data. It simply presses onto the bottom of the capacitance fuel sender. The bottom of the sender is smooth so that it can be used against the bottom of the fuel cell bladder without abrading the bladder - thus permitting the fuel sender to be as long as possible and giving accurate fuel level readings until the fuel level. is extremely low.
The bottom diameter is 26mm and it's 8mm tall overall.
The grey versions were prototypes in PLA; final version was printed in Taubman Nylon Alloy 910 due to its fuel safe quality.
I designed and printed this component for use in my fuel cell. Because your environment may subject components to severe
