I came across RoanV's simple but clever design while looking for brackets to hold a smartphone above a laptop screen. They provided the SolidWorks files but as I don't have SolidWorks I re-modeled the part in OpenSCAD to be fully parametric.

The important variable to adjust is phoneSize, which should be the thickness of your phone plus some clearance.
