DISCLAIMERS:
This is a hobby project that does not have the quality of a commercial fume extractor and it does not replace proper ventilation! It is intended to reduce the exposure to hazardous fumes! A simple activated carbon filter does NOT work for laser engraving, welding or chemical vapors!
Lithium batteries are dangerous if handled incorrectly! Always use caution when dealing with them! Not handling them with care can cause thermal runaway and auto ignition!
BOM:
- Single-pole single-throw switch with a build in LED.
- TP4056 charge module*
- MT3605 boost converter
- A small li-ion/li-polymer cell**
- A 270 ohm resistor
- Hot glue gun/epoxy
- Activated carbon filter sheet (54mm*54mm)***
- A 12V fan****
- 4*M3 screws
\* This is available in multiple versions, be sure to buy one that has separated out and bat terminals because this includes a minimal protection circuit.
\*\* Always use a cell that has a protection board that has over discharge and short circuit protection on it
