Functional & Stylish Bird Feeder

InspirationI originally started designing this model back in September 2024 for my Dad to have in the garden. At the time I hadn't spent long 3D modelling anything at all and gave up. Almost a year later I stumbled across the "Pet House Design" contest on Creality Cloud and thought of it as the perfect change to revist and complete this model.It's not perfect, but I'm happy with how it has turned out. My aim was to keep print time as low as possible whilst maintaining a durable model, so bridges are kept to a minimum with as many <45 degress angles as possible. Also, all of the pillars have rounder bases and hollow inner areas to provide additional strength (hopefully?).The model can be reduced if needed giving faster prints, but the loop at the top for hanging will become very tight if you shrink the model too much. At 90% you will notice a 2 hour reduction and the print can still be hung easily with rope.Design ConceptThe bird feeder is designed with a blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal in mind. Its classical gazebo shape not only attracts birds but also serves as a garden ornament.Printing SuggestionsUse weather-resistant filament, such as PETG or ABS, to ensure durability in outdoor elements. Recommended layer height is 0.2mm for smooth surfaces.Assembly InstructionsThe design is a single-piece print, so no additional assembly is needed apart from attaching a string to hang it from a tree branch.It is designed to require no supports, which halves the print time, as long as you are able to bridge medium gaps without issues. Most printers should be capable of this.
