Galil Handguard Shim

As anyone who has built a Galil ARM/SAR at home knows it can be pretty tricky to get the handguard slot placed on the barrel just right. I designed this shim because I know this well. Measure the gap between your handguard and receiver/retainer and extrude the 3D file to that height. I used millimeters in the file and it's quite easy with a set of digital calipers. It may help to do a few 0.5 mm slices as well just to get the tightness you want.

The first image is the template, the second image is the shim extruded to 2.5 mm which was the gap I needed to fill (I'm bad).
