Gamilon Starfighter Carrier

As a fan project, I long ago created VRML versions of the Gamilon star-fighter carrier spacecraft from the original “Star Battleship Yamato/Star Blazers” anime series. Modified for 3d printing, they can serve as launch/recovery starships for smaller military spacecraft in wargaming, display, etc. a la Battlestar Galactica. They can be seen in action in Season 1, Episode 22. Scale is approximately 1:2600.

There were three, green, gray, and blue carrying fighter, dive-bomber, and torpedo-bomber spacecraft respectively. (I nicknamed the model “Star Akagi” and scaled it to match the length of IJN Akagi in its multi-deck pre-war form, on which the anime model seems to have been based.)
