I heard gargoyles on the door can help ward off certain unwanted religeous groups who like to call unnanounced and pester me about Jesus. I couldn't find any that suited my purpose on Thingiverse, so here's my addition to the gargoyle collection.
Modelled in Sculptris.
About to try printing with full support (it'll have to be chisled out later) in ABS with a 0.4 mm nozzle and a 0.2 mm build height with an infill of 12.5% (Skienforge 47 settings).
Damn.. print came loose from the print bed while I was sleeping - spaghetti! About 6&1/2 hours print job.
Second print worked fine - added ABS dissolved in acetone to the print bed for extra stick. Looks like the contraction of ABS during cooling causes this model to peel otherwise. Mouth wasn't too bad to remove support from, and after acetone vapour treatment it looks good (see pic).
