GE Quick Connect

This Idea for GE Quick Connect allows for fast and simple assembly, A good seal that should allow for specified requirements. A few modifications were done to the cavity and brick as shown in the attached PDF. Once the brick is pushed to lock position into the cavity the seal should expand under the slight pressure it would take to lock brick in place. The seal is of a neoprene or silicon that allows the assembler to stretch over the brick from the bottom until lower protrusion sits in pocket of the sealing material. The seal covers most of the cavity and and brick walls that are allowed for sealing. In reviewing my design I have concluded that removal can only be done by breaking the 6 snap tabs on the cavity to release the brick. This may be beneficial as reusing cavity may weaken snaps and cause future failures. So in conclusion the cavity would be sacrificial.
