Gear Coffee Table

A coffee table that has an industrial style and interactive functioning gears. When the table top is turned, it rotates the first large, horizontal gear in the same direction. In turn, this rotates six smaller gears that are vertically positioned. These gears then rotate the second large, horizontal gear in the opposite direction of the table top and first gear. The gears rotate around a center support and base that are stationary. The thicker pieces can be built from various layers of material and bearings can be added for smoother motion. Various finishes can be added to suit desired visual effects.
