Gear Sphere puzzle (failed project)

This is a twisty puzzle. I'm not satisfied with, so I mark it as failed project. Now, I will not continue this project.
How it works:
rotate the color segment rings (independent). Flip the black and white halves.
What is the problem:
Gears jumps off sometimes. (change the bevel angle of the gears)
Colored rings stuck together sometimes. (make a support layer between (fixed to the black and white).
gear ratio is not good adjusted to segment size -> use 60 degree segments
how to make one:
There are STL files of a normal version (to big) and a 80% downscaled version (see photo)
I have printed:
gear1small: black and white, 2 each
gear2small: 4 colors, 2 each
gear3small: 4 colors, 4 each
I recommend to print:
gear1small: black and white, 2 each
gear2small: 6 colors, 2 each
gear3_60degsmall, 6 colors, 2 each.
