The gear tower is a great desk toy with different shapes of gears turning in satisfying and hypnotic ways. It's a great for decorating your desk (or wherever else you want it) and its a fun and unique addition. Just turn the knob and watch the nautilus, oval, square and circular gears spin in each their uniqe, satisfying and hypnotic way. It might be a bit hard in the beginning to spin the gears smoothly, but it will quickly get easier, but you could add a very small amount of lubricant if you want. Instructions for assembly are attached below and among the other photos above. Only thing you'll need is glue (i reccomend a glue that quickly and firmly sticks things together like superglue or similar). I also recommend rubber feet or similar to stick to the bottom of the base to prevent it from sliding around to much. Its not nescessary, it works just fine without, but its nice to have. Supports and brim: Yes, i reccomend brim but supports arent nescesary for anything. Print times and filament usage: I printed everything in PLA (red, yellow, green, blue, white and black (but feel free to pick whatever colors you think will look best)), but other types of filaments will probably work to. Everything takes about 6 h and 20 m to print and uses just about 110 g of pla. The wall requires a build plate of min. 25 cm * 25 cm to print, but you can split it into smaller parts and glue together afterwards if needed. I dont have acces to a resin printer so i have no idea if this is resin printable (or even what makes a thing (not) resin printable) but if you think/know it will work then go ahead.
