I was tired of the 40mm fans breaking, so I designed a shroud for a 60mm fan I had sitting around.
Some adjustments might need to be made to the spider mounting angle, as the shroud just barely hovers above the print layer.
This was designed to mount on the right hand side, though mirroring it will easily let you mount it on the left. This will collide with the front towers, be careful.
As the current iteration sits, due to the fact the air is directed pretty much on the nozzle, I had to retune my heater PID. This part has significantly increased my bridging capability though.
UPDATE:
shroudV2 has a longer neck, focusing the air more on the part and less on the block. I have found that I can only do about 70% fan at 55mm/s with a .4mm nozzle printing this glow in the dark PETG though. Anything above that and the temperature drops, sometimes drastically. I am about to update it to be much more focused on the part.
