This vehicle was developed to modernize the Marders, then still in service in very large numbers in Germany and export countries, and bring to contemporary modern stadard while the new Puma IFV was still under development. It has a new turret sporting 30mm gun, the same one you find on the Puma, the turret is also unmanned, and it receied a massive up-armor package. Thick composite screens are installed on the vehicle's side, front, even roof. The model is well detailed, with interiors on the troop compartment.
